Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know.

His house is in the village though;

He will not see me stopping here

To watch his woods fill up with snow.

　

My little horse must think it queer

To stop without a farmhouse near

Between the woods and frozen lake

The darkest evening of the year.

　

　

He hives his harness bells a shake

To ask if there is some mistake.

The only other sound's the sweep

Of easy wind and downy flake.

　

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.

But I have promises to keep,

And miles to go before I sleep,

林主曾相識，

村中有其捨，

已悉我正在此，

小馬頗多疑，

荒埜何佇立？

林邊凍湖間，

稀林风景好，

疑誓不行移，

安息不成得，

解釋：

詩人在雪夜裏騎馬路經一片樹林，樹林的仆人是生識的，他的傢便住在村中。 詩人在白雪覆蓋的林邊佇坐觀賞雪景使坐騎觉得奇异，以為他丢失了路。 雪中的丛林风景誘人，令人流連记返，然而詩人卻不克不及逗留下來， 他還要繼續走一段行程能力安息。 繼續走还有露義，指詩人要实现的事情，安息指人死的儘頭。 詩人說他必定要把要做的事件做完才干最終安眠。
